3 Impressive Ways of Shuffling a Pack of Cards
If you are a regular player of card games then you must have
some fair skills of shuffling cards. Still, when compared to the way dealers
shuffle it, it is quite evident to yearn for such skills. So without wasting
any time let’s take a look at three impressive ways of shuffling a pack of cards and how to do them.
1. The Strip Shuffle: Also known as running cuts, Strip
shuffle is done by dividing the deck into sections and putting them upside down
on the table. The sections are then placed over each other repeatedly. All you
have to do is to place the deck on the table horizontally. Using both your
hands, place your thumbs on the side towards you and fingers on the side away
from you. Grab a section of the deck with your right thumb and fingers, and
keeping your left hand in place drag the section from the deck. Now, put it
back on the deck or in between the deck as per your wish. Repeat this step 4 to
5 times.
2. The Hindu Shuffle: This is the palm version of the
strip shuffle. Place the deck of cards in your left hand in a way that your
thumb and fingers lightly hold the deck from either side. Using your right
hand, place the thumb and fingers on the deck and drag a section out of it. Now
place the section of cards in your right hand over those in the left hand and
drag it out back. Meanwhile using your left thumb and fingers, hold a section
of top cards in your right hand. This step should be done in a manner that the
top cards in your right hand lay on top of the cards present in your left hand.
Repeat this step until all the cards in your right hand are placed in your left
hand. Once done, repeat the entire process twice.
3. The BlackJack Shuffle: This method is the most impressive
among all. This shuffle is done by the dealers and can be learned accurately
after a lot of practice. Divide the deck into two almost equal sections and
place them horizontally on the table in front of you in a way that the inside
corners and the bottom corners are facing towards you. Tightly grip the cards
with your fingers and using your thumb, lift the corners a bit higher. Draw the
two sections closer near the corners and let the cards fall one over each
other. When all the cards lay over each other, push the interconnected cards
back together. Repeat the shuffle twice.
